Meet the Ascend Program! Ascend is Tahoe Climbing Coalition's scholarship fund designed to eliminate financial barriers for people in need.
Whether you're looking for assistance getting started climbing in the gym, need help with the cost of climbing gear, or would like some help affording outdoor guiding services, Ascend is here for you.
We envision rock climbing being inclusive, accessible and representative of all people. The Ascend program will prioritize people interested in climbing who have socioeconomic need. We would like to encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and women to enter the world of climbing.

Audience
All applicants should have an economic need.
Priority will be give to underrepresented groups in the climbing community: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Women. Anyone who feels like they have a significant barrier please apply.
Application
Process
All applications will be reviewed by the TCC Ascend committee, if a grant is approved, the applicant is expected to participate.
If further support is requested, future grants are conditional on the applicant's active participation in the program.
Applicants may be asked to reapply or show further need.
